SWORD

A sword is a long, edged piece of forged metal, used in many cultures throughout history as a cutting or thrusting weapon. In modern times, it is primarily seen in historical re-enactments, ceremonial purposes, and as part of traditional martial arts.

The word "sword" comes from the Old English "sweord", which is related to various other Germanic words and possibly derives from a Proto-Indo-European root meaning "to wound, to cut". The sword has been a symbol of power, justice, and chivalry in numerous cultures.

FAUNA

Fauna refers to all of the animal life present in a particular region or time. The term is often used when discussing the classification of animals, as well as conservation efforts for wildlife.

Etymologically, "fauna" is named after Faunus, the ancient Roman god of the forest, plains, and fields, and it's the female form, signifying the goddess of fertility. The term was first used by the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus in his work from the 18th century.
